- Joint Board of Fire Commissioners -

The Joint Board of Fire Commissioners consists of all fifteen Fire Commissioners from the three Fire Districts. It is a joint forum where Township-wide issues that affect all three Districts are discussed and acted upon.

 

Each District makes an annual budgetary contribution to the Joint Board of Fire Commissioners, from which the activities of the Bureau of Fire Safety/Prevention, Fire Training Center, and Technical Rescue Team are funded. Other initiatives include the Township fire radio system, the Township fire incident reporting software & network.

- Mission Statement -

  Fire District Nos. 1, 2 and 3, independently and collectively, find and determine that it is necessary and desirable to provide the most proficient, prompt, efficient and fiscally responsible fire prevention, protection and suppression and other emergency service and other interrelated governmental services which the respective Districts are empowered to perform, to meet the needs and demands of residents, businesses, and property owners in each of the respective Districts. 

     The Districts, independently and collectively, find and determine that, by the establishment of a Joint Board, opportunities for improved efficiencies and effectiveness for providing fire prevention, protection and suppression and other emergency services and interrelated governmental services which each District is empowered to provide are likely to be enhanced and achieved. 

     The Districts, independently and collectively, find and determine that combining the personnel, assets and funds of the respective Districts shall inure to the benefit of the independent Districts and the residents, businesses and property therein. 

     The Districts in the past combined resources and efforts relating to fire prevention, protection, suppression and other emergency services and interrelated governmental services which the respective Districts are empowered to perform. 

     The Districts, independently and collectively, find and determine that the continued sharing of resources, personnel and assets would best serve each District and collectively all residents, businesses and property owners within the Township of Brick.
