The Brick Township Fire / EMS Junior program is sponsored by the Brick Joint Board of Fire Commissioners and works in conjunction with the four township fire departments and first aid squads. The program is opened to anyone between the ages of 14 years old, and out of eighth grade to 21 years old. Started in 1999 the program has expanded to now allowing each member to become certified in CPR, First Responder, and to obtain Firefighter 1 once they turn 18 years old.
The Junior program remains committed to educating and promoting the importance of firefighting and emergency medicine to the youth and exposes them to a variety of career opportunities. We participate in numerous activities throughout the year including sponsoring our own Fire / EMS Expo for other programs to compete against one another. We also have done training in the past with the Brick Township Technical Rescue Team and NJ Task Force One Urban Search and Rescue. Our program assist the Jersey Shore Council, BSA in providing First Aid and Fire patrol to their Camporee including the Six Flag Great Adventure Camporee, NJ State Police Camporee and the Island Beach State Park Camporee.
