Become One of Brick Township's Bravest!

All applicants must live within Fire District #2, Brick Township. If you are considering joining Laurelton Fire Company # 1, you will be required to pass an oral interview and background check. Once passing your interview you will be sent to the Fire District Physician for a physical examination and a drug-screening test. This is mandatory for all applicants. The Board of Fire Commissioners Fire District #2 will pay for your physical examination.

Upon passing your physical examination and approval of the Board of Fire Commissioners, you may be accepted as a member of the Fire Company. The Board of Fire Commissioners will then provide for and pay for all of your training. State law requires all new firefighters to attend a Firefighter I program to receive training as a new member. You will receive training in subjects such as the basics of Firefighting along with EMS First Responder, CPR, and Hazardous Materials.

If you would like to volunteer your time and help your community, please stop by one of our firehouses on a Thursday evening at 7PM or call us for an application. Once you have completed the application our membership committee will contact you and we will set up a meeting for your interview.
