Students enrolled in the Brick Township Police Department Police Camp recently attended Firefighter Day at the Brick Township Fire Training Center on August 1, 2008. The Police Camp graduation took place on August 5, 2008 at Kids Night Out at Windward Beach. Shown below are some pictures from the day’s events.

The students started out in the Classroom with the instructors going over the day’s events

The Brick Police Explorers demonstrated the proper technique to extinguish a fire utilizing the Training Grounds Fire Pit.

Fire Inspector Phil Donohue is about to demonstrate a live burn inside the burn building. This demonstration showed the students how the Training Grounds are utilized to train firefighters the safe procedure for fighting fires.

The Technical Rescue team demonstrated rope repelling off the Burn Building.

And the students enjoyed participating in fire stream activities where two crews competed to push the ball to their opponent’s side.

The Police Camp week long events were culminated in their graduation on August 5, 2008. The four fire stations (Pioneer Hose, Breton Woods, Laurelton & Herbertsville Fire Companies), Brick Underwater Recovery team, Brick Explorers and Sparky were on hand to talk to the attendees of Kids Night Out about fire prevention.
