Brick Township Fire Service recently participated in “OPERATION SURF’S UP’, a Emergency Management drill with Ocean Medical Center, involving various EMS, Police and Fire Agencies. Staging areas were set up to facilitate a mock disaster drill and evacuation from the Medical Center utilizing various methods of transport including two Black Hawk helicopters, supplied by the New Jersey National Guard. The Brick Township Fire Departments assisted with evacuation from the Hospital as well as establishing landing zones and providing communication assistance and personnel support.
