Ocean County Freeholder’s Public Awareness Campaign

Have a Safe 4th of July!

At a recent press conference stressing safety on illegal use of fireworks on the 4th of July was held at the Brick Fire Academy. Ocean County officials reminded residents and visitors that fireworks are illegal in New Jersey and any kind of use is not only against the law but can pose a safety threat to people and property. The best option is to attend any of the professional fireworks displays scheduled throughout the County over the July 4th weekend.

Providing information on a safe holiday were Freeholder Director Joseph H. Vicari, Ocean County Consumer Affairs Director Stephen Scaturro, Kevin Batzel, Brick Township Bureau of Fire Safety Bureau Chief, Ocean County Fire Marshal Daniel P. Mulligan with representatives of the Brick Township Police Department and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.
